Sr. Janet has been a religious of Jesus and Mary and an educator for over 40 years. Sr. Janet has been a Teacher, Supervisor and Vice Principal – Convent of Jesus and Mary – Pune and Mumbai respectively, Principal – Convent of Jesus and Mary – Agra, Principal – Convent of Jesus and Mary – Dehradun. Sr. Janet has been Principal of Convent of Jesus and Mary –Delhi from June 2008 till date. She is also a Provincial Councillor, incharge of educational institutions of Convent of Jesus and Mary schools in the Delhi province. She is Manager – Khrist Raja Sec. School as well. In her tenure as a principal Convent of Jesus and Mary schools have reached new heights. In all the schools she has worked, she has played an instrumental role in bringing innovations in teaching techniques, worked relentlessly to improve the academics and the infrastructure of the schools. She sees that there is always an amalgamation of curricular and co-curricular activities leading to the holistic development of the students. Infact Convent of Jesus and Mary school, Delhi has been awarded International School Award 2013-2016 by the British Council and the school has a Global Policy well in place. Nurturing the child with love and giving the child wings to fly towards her goals is her primary focus. She wants every child to be strong in body and mind, confident and be a societal resource. She is kind hearted, compassionate and lovable lady who cares for the underprivileged whole heartedly especially girl child. She helped so many children in financial, moral and physical support. She herself takes care of the suffering child and gives relief. She is always ready with a helping hand to the needy children with regard to their illness or accident, death and or unfortunate turn of events. Her past time is gardening which she loves and has fetched prizes for the school garden. Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi is one of the best schools in many respects especially flowers. She has deep knowledge regarding best practices in teaching and learning for students from diverse backgrounds. She has conducted and arranged training programs for her staff with an emphasis on fostering best practice based on collaborative culture. She works for the school such that it offers great opportunities for academic excellence, character development and spiritual formation. She believes in providing an environment where the girls are encouraged to discern and to challenge assumptions, becoming comfortable with uncertainty, this allows them to be reflective and open to the ideas of others, while fostering a strong sense of self.
